The Speakers o Los Speakers fue una banda pionera del rock en Colombia en la década de los años sesenta. Fundada en Bogotá hacia , su estilo musical se caracterizó por asumir en sus inicios la estética y el sonido de Los Beatles, Pop rock, y Rock and roll para después experimentar con otros ritmos musicales antes de su separación como el Rock psicodélico a finales de . Con la salida de Rodrigo García, Los Speakers terminan disolviéndose un año después, dejando en la historia siete álbumes y algunos Ep's y singles. Fue la banda más popular de la época. Realizaron durante sus primeros álbumes distintos covers en inglés y español. Este primer álbum de simplemente se llamó:  The Speakers  realizado para el Sello Vergara. Se destacan canciones como "El golpe del pájaro" (primer éxito) cantado por Rodrigo garcía que era un cover del tema "Surfin' Bird" de The Trashmen, El rey del surfin también de la misma banda, Dona dona, La Bamba que le valieron su primer Disco de oro. Hay dos temas originales de Los Speakers, Tendrás mi amor compuesto por Humberto y Rodrigo y M.S. instrumental acreditada a Rodrigo García.
